Run the job.
Know the profit.

The problem

The work happens in the truck. The numbers show up weeks later.

Most trade businesses don't have a profit problem they can see. They have a paperwork gap between the field and the office.

01

The office chases techs

Hours on a timesheet, receipts in a cup holder, parts nobody wrote down. Someone spends Friday texting the crew to piece it together.

02

Profit is a guess until month-end

You find out which jobs made money after the books close, if you find out at all. By then the next ten jobs were priced the same way.

03

Invoices wait on the details

A finished job can't be billed until the paperwork catches up. Every day it sits is a day you're financing your customer.

KruSource closes that gap: everything the tech does lands on the job, and the job shows its profit.
What you get

One system from the first call to the closed month

A simple phone app for the people doing the work, and a real back office for the people running the business.

For techs

One next step at a time

Built for gloves, glare and a full day. The app shows today's jobs and tells the tech what to do next.

  • Today's jobs and the next step on each
  • Clock in and track travel
  • Photos and receipts coded to the job
  • Parts pulled from the truck
  • Customer signature on the phone
  • Voice notes in English or Spanish that never change a job without a tap
  • End-of-day truck inventory count
For the office

Profit on every job

Estimates to invoices to a closed month, with the cost of each job built as the work happens.

  • Estimates with e-signature
  • Scheduling and dispatch
  • Job costing: revenue, labor, travel, receipts and inventory used
  • Invoices with Save or Save & send, plus batch invoicing
  • Batch customer payments and batch bill pay
  • Credit memos, discounts and allowances
  • AR and AP aging
  • Inventory with physical counts
  • Intercompany for multi-entity businesses
For construction

Contracts, change orders, pay apps

For general contractors and the subcontractors who work for them.

  • Schedule of values
  • Change orders
  • Contract vs. billed to date
  • Progress billing and pay applications with retainage
  • Subcontractors bill percent complete, and it rolls into the contractor's pay application

Every job moves through five clear stages

  1. Accepted
  2. In progress
  3. Ready to invoice
  4. Invoiced
  5. Closed

Online booking page

Customers book from a page KruSource hosts for you. No website needed.

Automatic customer messages

"On my way," "Job done," and a review request go out without anyone typing them.

Works with QuickBooks Online

KruSource sends the job data over. QuickBooks stays your books.

How it works

From booked to closed in four steps

  1. Win the work

Customers book online or you send an estimate they sign electronically. Accepted work becomes a job.

  2. Schedule and dispatch

Put the job on the schedule. The tech sees it in today's list, and the customer gets an "on my way" message.

  3. The tech runs the job

Clock in, take photos, snap receipts, pull parts, record a voice note and collect a signature. It all lands on the job.

  4. Invoice, see profit, close

Invoice in a click, see what the job made, and walk through a guided month-end close that ties out to QuickBooks.

Built by a CFO

Field software that respects the books

KruSource was founded by Robin Erasmus, a CFO and fractional CFO by background. It started with a finance question every owner should be able to answer on the spot: which jobs actually made money?

Most field service tools stop at the invoice. KruSource keeps going: every job carries its own costs, and the month closes with a process written for the owner or office manager, not for an accountant.

The guided month-end close

  • 1Plain-English checklist written for non-accountants
  • 2Tie-out to QuickBooks before the month is marked closed
  • 3Reopen a closed month only with a reason, and keep the history
  • 4Profit by job in view before the month is closed, not weeks after
